2nd Annual Turkish
Day in Albany
The
Turkish American Community in New York State organized the
2nd Annual Turkish Day in Albany on May 30th, 2007 in the
Legislative Office Building. Senators and Assembly members
have attended the event and meet the leaders of Turkish
American Community. The attendees enjoyed delicious Turkish
food. Turkish American Friendship Awards were presented to
the Assembly Speaker and the Senate Majority Leader for
their support of the Turkish American Community in New York.
The event will then proceed with a performance by Sufi
whirling dervishes from Turkey.
One of the most unique and beautiful forms of Turkish art Ebru
(water marbling) exhibited at the event.
Peace thorough education and dialogue video presentation was shown
.
The message from the foreign affairs minister of Turkish Republic
Abdullah Gul was read by the Turkish Consulate Baser Sen.
